Our software can be installed on any local disk drive on your PC. There is no need to use a particular drive, especially not the drive C:, which in most cases is (or should be) reserved for system data.
The top most directory is named after the product name of this software. Since this software is part of an extensive product family there may be a particular addition to the product name, which exactly specifies the version of the installed software and which distinguishes this software from it's „brothers and sisters" from the same family. This is needed because in some cases two or more applications must reside next to one another and dependently from one another on a user's PC (this is the case, for example, for a Producer version used to generate and prepare CDF files and for the reader software used to visualize and use these CDF files; both are separate applications and must be kept separately).
Below the top most directory there are several important sub-directories, which are listed here below and whose names must never be changed. This knowledge is not needed for using this application software, it is only noted here to fully explain the details of this application.
