The Clickcat PageEditor is a special enhanced version of the PageBrowser capable of editing existing and creating new pages. The PageEditor comes only with some Clickcat versions.
Please note that the PageEditor was NOT developed for creating or designing pages but only to edit and correct existing pages before distributing and using them electronically.
This chapter focuses on the editing capabilities. For the many other features and functionalities as a page viewer please refer to the chapter PageBrowser.
Due to the great number of different Clickcat versions it is virtually impossible to exactly adjust the manual to each specific version. It can therefore be the case that your Clickcat version does not provide some or all of the features described in this chapter.
Note: In the current state of this manual, this is NOT YET A FULL DESCRIPTION OF THE MOST COMPREHENSIVE VERSION. Several details especially concerning the editor functionalities of the PageBrowser are still missing and will be added as soon as possible.
Clickcat PageEditor is used to edit pages imported from PDF. Page components can be:
Moved to another position
Removed from the page
Copied to another place or another page
and some new components can be added.
This is not a full PageEditor and it is not intended to be used for creating new pages.
It is primarily designed to modify existing pages which have been imported from PDF and to correct possible mistakes or anomalies deriving from the conceptual differences between DTP software for paper and HTML.
